In April 2025, Micke Bayart’s new book in Germany Als Pippi nach Deutschland kam (When Pippi came to Germany) was published by the renowned German children’s book publisher Oetinger.
The book tells the story how this young Swedish heroine and power-girl became a role-model for many generations ever since, and witnesses of the time share their memories of Pippi and Astrid Lindgren.
All of Astrid Lindgren’s books have since 1949 been published in Germany by Oetinger- with Pippi Langstrumpf starting it all.
